It's always a bit fascinating when we come across unique ways that color is creatively used in fashion and design. It's those accents of color that can take an outfit, a photograph, a room or even nature's naturalness of color from the 'same old, same old' to absolutely breathtaking.

This month we found an ad for Johnston & Murphy to be quite appealing in its application of color to one of its classic style of boots. The slogan is even catchy: "Soles with Soul. The Classic Chukka
Gets a Reboot." Quite interesting huh?! A beautiful addition of color is quite the "reboot" when we're so used to seeing basic brown or black soles on dress/casual shoes. Thumbs up to Johnston & Murphy (and other designers as well) for incorporating such a unique use of color! I'd say the boots definitely have SOUL!


I find this ad to be a perfect ode to PRASM's Color-Style focused brand. We're all about using color to liven up the attire, as well as the nature of the individual wearing it! It's interesting the way fashion designers are beginning to focus on accents of dynamic color these days. Color can most definitely take a look from 'hum drum' to one of kind with just a simple splash of color. No extra dramatic trinkets needed, just plain and fabulous color. Whether it's socks, soles or belts and wristbands color is bound to liven up your look effortlessly.

Why You Should Wear the Color Green!

One of our primary themes at PRASM has been the focus of color and the psychological and emotional effects they have on us. Today, our focus is on the color green!

One of the primary and most abundant colors in nature is green. When you gaze outside your window, with the exception of looking up at the sky and seeing blue, you see green everywhere! This isn't a coincidence in nature, especially when you tune into what the color green stands for and the energy it promotes.

Green is the color of peace and universal love. This is one of the reasons that taking walks outdoors is so calming for our spirits and physical bodies. Green resets a broken spirit or a broken heart -at least for a time. It's up to you to maintain that peace of mind, however.

Green is  also the color of abundance. This makes sense as well when you think about how the color green is prominent in the natural world. Wear this color when you want to feel in tune with the world around you and when you need to be filled with an abundance of love for all. Green is also the color of transformation. When you're looking to make a drastic change in your life, let this color work its magic. Toads and frogs aren't green by coincidence. If you study the essence of the frog, you see that it is a primary symbol of transformation and evolution.

This is another color that I feel is underrated in the world of fashion. I, personally, don't see a lot of it incorporated in style trends. But perhaps this can change when we become aware of just how important green is to our world and our physical, spiritual, emotional and psychological well being.

A Photographic Journey with PRASM!

There are so many wonderful ways that the PRASM brand can fit into your wardrobe! It doesn't matter if your style is casual, abstract, retro, laid back or nonexistent -PRASM is the "go-to" option! It just simply fits and complements!

Featured in this post are a few pictures to illustrate the different ways that our multicolor PRASM belts can add "flavor" to your attire and some color to your life!

Featured to the left is the PRASM canvas, D-ring belt in red! Red is a wonderful way to add some more "urban" to your look! It gives your attire a touch of attitude without overdoing it!

 To the right is the PRASM belt in dark purple. In my opinion, dark purple adds a touch of good mystery to your look! Purple intrigues us!

Our belts do a nice job of complementing a very casual, everyday look such as jeans and a tank!

To the left is the PRASM belt in solid black. Black compliments almost everything! You simply can't go wrong with black. It's perfect for attire that is already abstract on its own!













In the photo to the right, the light brown PRASM belt is featured. It's fastened around a very trendy blazer for a look that goes against the rules. Many might safely wear the PRASM belt tied at the waste and on the inside of the blazer, but with PRASM it is completely safe to use your imagination and rock your belt in your own way!













In the picture to the left is the PRASM belt in bright red! As you can see the model is rocking a hint of bold blue at the top and the red PRASM belt at the waist doesn't clash with it! Instead, the belt compliments the blue and makes the look that much more expressive!

With a white PRASM belt (as featured to the right) it adds a layer of "freshness" to your look! Don't pass up a white belt... it can work!!

Here is the PRASM belt in dark purple again! It is fabulous with a shawl or beautifully detailed scarf around the shoulders! Even with the classy touch of a scarf, the PRASM belt can fit right in!

You simply can't pass up a light blue PRASM belt (to the right)! It's just... FRESH, and is bound to have the same effect on you! It does well with a blue top similar in color, but I can't help but to imagine that this shade would also do well with white tank or a white tee (form fitting or loose)!

What's Your 'Flavor'?

Are you retro, abstract, urban, funky, fun, laid back, eclectic...? Are you simply a person who loves to add a bit of flavor to anything you rock? Remember the old adage, "less is more?" Well that bit of wisdom most certainly applies to our attire, too. If you look at the fashion world -both past and present- you notice that popular fashion critics tend to choose the understated "celebrity" style as some of their most favorite looks. The world's "style" icons usually are those who have mastered the understated look by not doing too much, nor doing too little. At PRASM, the saying, "less is more" definitely applies!
